In short
The Gravel pack is a 3-night, 4-day stay at Can Freu, a rural house in Vilobí d’Onyar (La Selva, Girona), designed for groups of 10 people. Every day you ride out from the front door on a different gravel route, with the GPS track ready and the support van close by. It includes 3 breakfasts and 2 dinners, plus one free evening to eat wherever you like: at a local restaurant or in Girona. From €450 per person, VAT included. Season from September to June.
Who it’s for
It’s for you if…
- You’re a gravel club or group of friends who want to rack up kilometres without thinking about logistics.
- You’re looking for a long weekend to ride together and switch off.
- You want to discover Les Guilleries, La Selva and the Costa Brava on tracks and trails with no cars.
- For you, eating well and resting matter as much as the ride.
Why here
Between the mountains and the sea.
Can Freu sits in the heart of La Selva, between Les Guilleries and the Costa Brava, half an hour from Girona, one of Europe’s cycling capitals. Forest tracks, country lanes and greenways start right at the house. That’s why every route in the pack starts and finishes at the door.
In four days you ride through very different landscapes: the farmland of Brunyola, the mountain forests of Les Guilleries, the coast between Platja d’Aro and Sant Feliu de Guíxols, and the Argimon sanctuary. And with a mild climate, you can ride from September to June.
The routes
Four days, four routes.
Every route starts and finishes at Can Freu: no need to load the bike onto the car at any point. Each day has a different level, so the group can push the pace and also have days to enjoy the scenery.
Day 1
Discovering Brunyola
40 km+500 mEasy

- Salitja church
- Sant Fruitós de Brunyola
- Serrallonga hermitage
Terrain
Dirt tracks and country lanes with short stretches of tarmac. No long climbs.

Day 2
Discovering Les Guilleries
109 km+2,400 mHard
The queen stage of the pack. From Can Freu we head into Les Guilleries on mountain forest tracks up to Sant Hilari Sacalm, at almost 1,000 metres, and come back via Osor. Lush forests, springs and mountain scenery less than an hour from the house.
Where it goes

Day 3
Costa Brava
90 km+500 mModerate

Day 4
Argimon

The last route: short, but with a solid final climb. Tracks up to the Argimon sanctuary, on a hilltop overlooking all of La Selva. At the top, a few steps lead to the sanctuary — worth it for the views. Descent via l’Esparra towards Riudarenes and back to Can Freu in time to shower and head home.

A day on the pack
A typical day.
The day starts at the table with a full breakfast to fuel up. Meanwhile, the day’s track is ready to load onto your GPS or phone. No need for the car: the route starts at Can Freu’s door.
On the route, the support van goes with you. It carries kit and spares and stays close in case of a puncture, a mechanical, or someone wanting to cut a section short. All you need to think about is pedalling and enjoying the scenery.
Back at the house: wash the bike, shower and some time in the rest area to recover. In the evening, dinner at the table at Can Freu with the whole group, talking over today’s route and tomorrow’s.
One evening is free. The pack includes two dinners at Can Freu, and the third evening is yours to explore: try a restaurant in La Selva or head to Girona, half an hour away, to stroll around the Old Quarter and have dinner in town.
